Overview

Dashiqiao Central Heating Project (Dashiqiao) was part of the Liaoning Third Medium Cities Infrastructure Project (LMC3), which was partly financed by a World Bank loan. The Dashiqiao Project replaced numerous individual, inefficient small sized boilers with a more efficient central heating station, which comprises large high efficiency heat only boilers. The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project used methodology AM0058 – version 3 – Introduction of a new primary district heating system. About 31 group substations were introduced in the city which received heat from the central station (through the primary network) and supplied heat to the buildings through the heat distribution network. The project area covered the central part of the city the area bound by the following roads: Nanhuan Rd in the south, Renming Rd in the north, Hongqi Rd in the east and the west Hada Railway in the west.
