China: SGCC In-advance Distribution Transformer Replacement Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Program

Under this Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Program of Activities, the State Grid Corporation of China replaced low efficiency, in-service transformers with high efficiency, newly purchased transformers that have reduced electricity losses caused by no-load losses, and subsequently reduce CO2 emissions. Program activities CPA-001, CPA-002, CPA-003 and CPA-004 comprised in-advance replacement of 1,100, 8,662, 9,289 and 9,570 baseline transformers, respectively.
